Maggie Rosen -The Loire appellation Chaume has been cancelled after just two years, following opposition from the AOC Quarts de Chaume. As of 2009, the designation – which applies to a handful of Anjou sweet white wine producers – can no longer be used.

Roll out! Heute bekam ich meinen neuen Laptop. Wir sind jetzt bei Mövenpick nicht mehr bei der EDS, sondern bei Swisscom. Wir können so mehr als 100'000 Franken pro Jahr sparen und da partizipiere ich doch gerne mit. Also nahm ich den Termin für mein persönliches Roll out mit freudiger Erwartung eines neuen Laptops's wahr.

Die Formel ist einfach: Man definiert ein Datum, einen Ort und vier Teilnehmer. Jeder bringt etwas aus seinem Keller mit und schon ist ein ganz normaler Dienstag ein kleiner Feiertag...

just-drinks.com editorial team – New Zealand Winegrowers hopes that a 2009 grape harvest level in size with the previous year will help it to maintain wine quality without problems of oversupply. The 2009 vintage was 285,000 tonnes, which is “marginally” above pre-harvest expectations for a crop of 275,000 tonnes, but in-line with winegrowers’ view that the harvest would not be bigger than 2008, said the industry body today (15 June).
