The World Bulk Wine Exhibition confirms its IV edition on 19 and 20 November 2012 in the RAI Elicium in Amsterdam . The International Meeting of Wine Buyers and Sellers enters its fourth year with an overall increase in prices and a sharp rise in transactions, thanks to the efforts made at earlier editions of the fair.
Madrid, 07-05-12.- Bulk wine buyers and sellers around the world will gather again for the annual meeting which has become a key fixture in their calendar, which this year is being held on 19 and 20 November at the RAI Elicium in Amsterdam. In line with the philosophy of this event, the only one in the world dedicated exclusively to bulk wine, the largest companies and key professionals in the industry worldwide will devote two days to closing agreements and commercial transactions. These are the same ones who have achieved a clear recovery in prices from 2009 to the present. At this point, we can say that almost all the wine has been sold; demonstrating that there was no surplus of vineyards, but rather a shortage of initiatives to revitalise a business that was stagnating. Now, thanks in part to the advent of the World Bulk Wine Exhibition, the industry is more vibrant than ever.

With this 4th edition, the organisation seeks to give more prominence to the entry of single varietal wines with PGI or PDO; to focus more on organic wines, increasingly demanded by markets like Germany; and to extend its offer to products such as grape juice. Another key objective this year is to increase the participation of international buyers and sellers, aiming to expand the presence of countries like Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, and the US, without losing sight of the importance of buyers from Asia, Africa, and Europe, and production companies from countries such as Argentina and Chile.

In its last edition, the World Bulk Wine Exhibition welcomed 700 buyers and 3,000 visitors from more than 40 countries, amounting to a purchasing power of over 25 million hectolitres, thanks to the participation of giants such as Castel Frères, Le Grand Chais de France, and COFCO, and the supermarket chains Tesco, Jimro, and Unidie.

During the two-day event 18 million hectolitres were traded, representing more than half the annual global production of 30 million hectolitres; an amount equivalent to 930 million euros.

For this fourth edition, the World Bulk Wine Exhibition will again be celebrated in the city of Amsterdam, in the exclusive RAI Elicium enclosure, which has been confirmed by bulk wine producers and purchasers as the ideal venue for establishing business contacts, in interviews carried out by the organisation.

The World Bulk Wine Exhibition
The World Bulk Wine Exhibition is organised by the Spanish company Pomona Keepers, in conjunction with several partners including Global Caja, whose commitment to the wine sector in Castilla-La Mancha is reflected by its unconditional support for the event since its inception. In its 3rd edition, the World Bulk Wine Exhibition positioned itself as an exclusive arena for identifying and discovering the best bulk wines in the world, the moment the wine harvest comes to a close.
