Die internationale Weinszene trifft sich alljährlich auf der Düsseldorfer ProWein (4.-6. März 2012). Hier ist der VDP-Gemeinschaftsstand in Halle 4 mit 138 VDP-Gütern und über 1250 qm2 Ausstellungfläche zweifelsohne zum Hot-Spot unter den Deutschen Weinerzeugern und der Messe überhaupt geworden.

Sigi Hiss – Wie die Südafrika Weininformation eben meldet, wird es einen neuen District in der Cape South Coast Region geben – Elgin. Elgin ist/war ein Ward. Ob die Fläche des Wards, sich mit der des Districtes deckt, wurde nicht mitgeteilt. Es ist aber anzunehmen. Hier die noch alte Karte, in der Elgin noch als Ward eingezeichnet ist.

but there is still a wide rift between them, the scion of one of Tuscany’s legendary houses tells Decanter.
Jacopo Biondi Santi, the great-grandson of Ferrucio Biondi Santi, the man who is credited with being the creator of Brunello di Montalcino, fell out with his father Franco in 1991 and left the family estate to launch his own wines.
It is unclear, Margaret Rand says in her interview with Jacopo in the latest issue of Decanter, whether the split was to do with personality or his urge to modernise.
