The 2011 vintage of Château d’Yquem wasn’t released last year because of the depressed market conditions. Now we also know that there will be no 2012 vintage produced. At the time they felt that they had made a fantastic wine that merited releasing at a more propitious moment. It still hasn’t been released onto the general market but some clever pre-release promotion has been taking place. by Jane Anson in Bordeaux - Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have joined forces with
the Perrins of Beaucastel to produce wine at their Provence estate.
Under the agreement, the Perrin family, long-term owners of Château Beaucastel in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, and one of the most renowned names in the Rhone Valley, are now responsible for both the winemaking and distribution of the Jolie-Pitts’ Château Miraval in Correns.
The Perrins began working with the estate from harvest 2012, Marc Perrin told Decanter.com. Mutual friends put the two sides in touch, he said.
When the Jolie-Pitts first moved in to Château Miraval they signed a three-year lease to rent the 500-ha estate, but its AOC Côtes de Provence continued to be made by the previous winemaker.

Das Pflanzenschutzunternehmen Syngenta erhielt kürzlich die Zulassung für das neue Weinbaufungizid Dynali. Das Produkt ist eine Neuerung unter den Weinbaufungiziden und ein Durchbruch in der Oidium-Bekämpfung, denn es besteht aus einer neuen Kombination zweier Wirkstoffklassen. Zudem bekämpft das neue Fungizid Roter Brenner und Schwarzfäule. Die Basisaufwandmenge beträgt 0,2 l/ha.

Am 1. Juli 2013 vollzieht sich bei dem Glashersteller Riedel zum 10. Mal ein Generationenwechsel: Georg J. Riedel wird die Gesch.ftsführung der Tiroler Glashütte seinem Sohn Maximilian J. und damit der 11. Generation übergeben. Georg Riedel ist seit 1973 im Unternehmen tätig. Ihm ist es zu verdanken, dass das Riedel Weinglas seinen Siegeszug um die Welt genommen hat. Vater und Sohn sind übereingekommen, dass jetzt der Zeitpunkt gekommen ist, den Generationswechsel zu vollziehen und die Leitung der Tiroler Glashütte mit deren internationalen Tochtergesellschaften an Maximilian zu übergeben.
